The Mediterranean, Canary Islands and Portugal.

With a variety of cultures and countries, the Mediterranean is one of the most popular cruise destinations in the world.  There are ancient cities and towns with historical ruins, buildings, cathedrals, statues spanning across the Western and Eastern Mediterranean.
Cruises depart and call at a wide range of ports in Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Croatia as well as the Greek Islands, Malta and Cyprus. There is plenty to explore whether you enjoy the historical sites, beaches or cuisine.
Western Mediterranean cruises call at Barcelona with the Gaudi influenced sites such as the Basilica de la Sagrada Familia, Rome with the Colosseum, Trevi Foutain and Vatican City.  Eastern Mediterranean cruises take in Athens with the Acropolis, the Greek Islands with the amazing blue seas, and the coastal towns of the Adriatic coast of Croatia and Italy.
The three most popular ports to cruise from in the Mediterranean are Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Piraeus (Athens). This is then followed by Istanbul, Lisbon and Trieste. MSC Cruises are the biggest cruise line in the Mediterranean and have multiple itineraries in the Western and Eastern Mediterranean and have over 30 embarkation ports.
