Celebrity Cruises

Founded in 1988 by the Chandris family, the first Celebrity cruise ships started sailing in 1990.  In 1997, Celebrity was sold to Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and became a brand under the Royal Caribbean Group.  
The ships have the recognisable "X" on the funnel and offer luxurious cruises with spacious stylish ships and incredible dinning.   

Celebrity Cruises currently have a fleet of 16 ships in service with a further shipped currently being built.  Celebrity Ascent is the newest ship and launched in late 2023, with the new ship Celebrity Xcel due in late 2025.

Celebrity Edge is currently completing her Alaskan season before repositioning to Sydney for the winter season with Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific Itineraries through to April 2025.  At the end of April, she will then begin her transpacific voyage back to Alaska for the summer season where she will sail itineraries from Seattle.   At the end of the Alaskan season in September 2025, she will then sail back to Sydney for the winter months to commence Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific itineraries.

At the end and beginning of the Alaskan season, there are one way itineraries between Vancouver and Hawaii.  Transpacific itineraries are also available between Honolulu and Sydney at the end and beginning of each Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific season.

Celebrity Apex is currently home ported in Southampton before her transatlantic repositing voyage to Fort Lauderdale in October '24.  She will then spend the winter season sailing out of Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean on predominately seven night itineraries.  There are two itineraries in November '24 that are 6 night sailings.  

In March '25, she will then reposition back to Europe with a transatlantic crossing from Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona before sailing onto Southampton in April, where she will be based until mid October '25.  From November '25 she will commence Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral (Orlando) after a repositing transatlantic cruise from Southampton.

Celebrity Ascent is currently sailing itineraries in the Mediterranean before she repositions to Fort Lauderdale in November '25 to commence Caribbean itineraries.  She will then sail back to the Mediterranean for her six month season sailing from the ports of Barcelona, Civitavecchia (Rome) and Piraeaus (Athens).  In October '25, Celebirty Ascent will then reposition back to the Caribbean for the winter season with Itineraries from Fort Lauderdale where she will also sail down to the Panama Canal on the South Caribbean itineraries.

Celebrity Beyond is based in the Caribbean and is currently home ported in Fort Lauderdal sailing 6 and 7 night itineraries to the Eastern & Western Mediterranean, 8 & 10 nights to the southern Caribbean and 11 night itineraries to the Panama Canal and Southern Caribbean.

From May '25, Celebrity Beyond will then be home ported out of Miami to sail 7 night itineraries to the Eastern Caribbean. 

Celebrity Xcel - New Ship launching in November 2025

Celebrity Xcel will enter service in November 2025 and will be homeported in Fort Lauderdale.  Her 5 night maiden voyage will commence on the 18th November 2025 calling at Bimini in the Bahamas and Cozumell in Mexico.  She will then sail 7 night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean.

Celebrity spends the summer season from April to October in Alaska before repositing to Asia for the winter season from November to March.  Transpaciific and repositing cruises take place at the end of each season with itineraries available to/from Honolulu and Sydney.

The Alaskan season has 7 night round trip voyages from Vancouver with two itineraries available.

During the winter months, Celebrity Solstice sails one way itineraries between Singapore and Hong Kong of 10, 11 and 12 nights.

At the beginning and end of each season the ship repositions offering one way cruises between Vancouver/Honolulu, Honolulu/Sydney, Sydney/Singapore.
