Vancouver Cruise Port
Vancouver Canada Place Cruise Ship terminal is located in Downtown Vancouver
It is one of the main embarkation ports for cruises along the scenic Inside Passage along the west coast of British Colombia and Alaskan cruises.
Around 1 million passengers embark in the Port of Vancouver each year and is conviently located near to the attractions, entertainment, restaurants and shopping areas.
Vancouver airport is located 9 miles away to the south on Sea Island and takes around 30 to 40 minutes to reach by public transport.
The stations of Waterfront and Burrard are in close proximity at around 7 to 10 minutes away.
Seattle Cruise Port
Seattle has two ports for cruises which are at the Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal and Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at Pier 91.
The Bell Street Pier Cruise Terminal is located close to Down Town Seattle. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is 15 miles (24 km) away and takes around 30 to 40 minutes by car or around 1 hour 30 minutes by public transport. Norwegian Cruise Line and Oceania use this terminal.
The closest train station is SVF which is around a 10 minute walk to the cruise terminal.
The Smith Cove Cruise Terminal at 2001 West Garfield Street to the north of the waterfront. Carnival Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruise, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises and Royal Caribbean port at this terminal. Seattle-Tacoma International Airport is 18 miles (29km) away and transit time by car takes between 30 and 40 minutes.
There is no direct train from the airport to the cruise terminal, although can be done by combining the train and bus.
Whittier Cruise Port (Anchorage)
Many cruise lines begin or end their cruises in Whittier and the cruise terminal is located on West Camp Road.
Anchorage Ted Stevens Airport is the closest airport being approximately 60 miles (100km) away. The journey takes around 90 minutes by car.
The Alaska Railroad has a daily train service from Anchorage to Whittier which takes just over 2 hours. Along the route there are breathtaking views of the scenery. The Alaskan Railroad station in Anchorage is within walking distance of Downtown Anchorage and is approximately 6 miles (10km) from the airport. In Whittier, the trains stop across the street from the cruise terminal.
Seward Cruise Port.
Seward is another port where cruise lines begin or end their journeys and is 125 miles (200km) from Anchorage Ted Stevens Airport which takes around 2 hours 30 minutes by car.
Park Connection Seward Express Route is a bus service from Anchorage to Seward in the mornings with the Seward to Anchorage bus leaving in the evenings.
There is also the Alaskan Railroad train from Anchorage to Seward which takes approximately 4.5 hours with scenic views of the mountains and forests. The cruise terminal is just a short walk or ride by car from the Seward Train Depot.
