Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas

With white sand beaches, crystal clear waters and tropical weather all year round, the Caribbean is a fantastic location for a cruise vacation.  There are numerous itineraries calling a wide range of destinations with colourful colonial towns, ancient ruins and UNESCO World Heritage sites as well as the tropical barrier reefs with fish of every colour imaginable.
Cruise lines operate in the Caribbean all year, although December through to April is a great time to escape the winter weather, where temperatures are typically between 20 - 30c.
The official hurricane season runs between 1st June to 30th November, although September and October are considered to be the peak months.  If there is any chance of a hurricane while you are on your cruise, the ship will sail away from the path of the storm so ports may be missed, new ports added or replaced by extra sea days.
There are various ports in the Caribbean where you can begin your cruise vacation or from the United States.  The most popular destinations to embark are the ports in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico with the Caribbean.   From the USA, the popular ports are Port Canaveral, Miami, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa from Florida, Galveston, Texas along with the three ports in New York.
